My entire family is very religious and would probably disown me if I ever got visibly pregnant. Abortion is also illegal in my religion, so I really had no idea what to do when I had unprotected sex one time. The next morning, I rushed to my local Planned Parenthood and bought Plan B. I’m lucky that I took it immediately, otherwise the chances of it being effective would have been a lot lower. I didn’t feel like I was doing anything wrong by using Plan B, because a pregnancy hadn’t even formed yet. If I had gotten pregnant, I really don’t know what options I would even have had. I’d have to choose between being disowned by my family and committing a sin that I might never be able to forgive myself for. I just wish I had used protection to begin with; I’ll never make that mistake again.
